Yes, I am finally going to write (or at least post pictures) of my holidays. Part of the reason I haven't is because there is just a lot and I have been busy. Part of the reason is I haven't been so good and I haven't really wanted to talk to anyone, even my blog. Yeah. Having a bit of an "episode" you might say. Which is really hard to say because I really want to go home and I can't right now until I am doing better.
ANYWAY, I am going to attempt to ignore that and tell you about Vegas! Wild Animals! Spiritual Stuff! Irish Neighbors! And Helicopters! And other things that deserve exclamation points!!!!
First of all, about a week or so before Christmas we went to Vegas to visit my Uncle and Aunt J... dad's FAVORITE big brother. Padre is, like, OBSESSED with anything J does. It's like "Oh, you are into model trains now? OH, so am I!" Like he is 4. ANYWAY, so apparently there was some model train/plane/etc. thing that he wanted to go with John to and so we were all going under the Guise of Christmas, PLUS, of course Rinny and Dad wanted to see BYU play in the Vegas Bowl again like last year.
Only THIS time they decided the trip basically would BE the gifts... we were going to do a couple BIG SPLURGEY shows (we just didn't actually KNOW this, it was a surprise)... plus Rinny got the Vegas Bowl... so *I* could go back to the Secret Garden to see the tigers and dolphins and such (alone since nobody else much cared enough to make tickets worth it, but dang, I would LIVE there if I could!).
So, first we had to drive there. Listening to Talk Radio... and listening to my dad talk BACK to the talk radio... makes for a VERY VERY long trip. And for some reason, we didn't actually remember to BRING things to do. Or walkmans. But we had cameras. So, literally, we took pictures of ourselves the whole way.
SEE SLIDE-SHOW-O-RAMA!!! (you really should)
The scary thing is... WE DELETED THE MAJORITY of them. That's right. THESE are the GOOD ones.
Also, the trip was made much longer by the fact that 1. we were caught in a full-on white out blizzard in some mountain pass. 2. It was the worst (first?) snow storm in like 20 years in St. George (we actually stopped there for a bit to rest at the condo because the cars going off the road and we wanted to go to the temple in the morning!) and apparently in 30 years in Vegas. The snow in down south in St. George and Vegas was certainly not, like OUR bad weather, but for people not used to it... YEAH it was pretty big! And the flakes WERE enormous. Not flakes... like snow CLUMPS. It was hilarious.
When we finally got to The Orleans, we brought our picture frenzy into the gift shop...
and then the arcade, where I found this horrible and yet very fun game called Flamin Finger. It's awful! We just KEPT PLAYING! At least it gave us pretty good tickets.
We with our tickets bought some fuzzy dice to hang on our tree (hee hee!) and a yo-yo with Pacman on it. Then we split up. Nobody else wanted to spend the money to see the Secret Garden but as Dad was taking Rinny to the Las Vegas Bowl, *I* could go alone. They... actually, I am not sure what they did. I think my mom and went to the room with Rinny who took a nap and Dad gambled or went golfing. I could care less. I went to the Mirage. I took a few pics in front of the Beatles Lounge and then spent hours with dolphins, tigers, and lions.
Only problem? MY CAMERA DIED. Yeah, and it is one of those you charge in a charger, not the kind you can buy and replace batteries at the gift shop. I DID buy 2 highly-over-priced disposable cameras for more pics of the cubs, but you don't get to see those (yet.) So everything after that had to wait till I could borrow Rinny's camera. SIGH.
The secret garden was awesome (however, the info I gave about the litter of cubs isn't right. The Golden might be in Florida now, but there is only one golden and he IS male and his name is Svenghali and the other female was white with stripes. But they aren't with the mama. Anyway, I got it mixed up. But they are beautiful. As were the dolphin babies. SIGH! I could just LIVE there.
After a few hours there we went to dinner and because it was part of the super good deal with the hotel (that *I* found us online, thank you very much go me.) we got drinks. In our family it is always "just waters, thanks." but these were actual DRINK drinks. Like I ordered a REEEEALLY good Virgin Pina Colada. SO YUMMY. And Rinny had her VERY FIRST EVER MOCKTAIL! No, really. FIRST EVER. She is pretty firm on that "avoiding the appearance of evil" thing and she wasn't going to order one! She said they all sounded "yucky." I told her to go with a virgin Strawberry Daiquiri and that it was "basically a Zuka juice." She took a lot of coercing, but finally drank some. She didn't like it (and honestly, it wasn't the best mocktail ever... my Pina Colada was heaven but Rinn hates coconut!)
After dinner we saw Rinny's Dancing Waters some more (well, I had a migraine, so I actually just sat in the building being sick while Rinn did that) and we got ready for the night's big Splurge! Actually, I went back to the hotel and went into a little migraine coma until they woke me up and said "we are going now." Because I felt so super sick. Which was NOT awesome. But the SHOW was. TO BE CONTINUED.... AFTER you SEE all you can of what I just said! HA!
Which pretty much is all the explanation of AAAAAAAALL of these:
ENJOY! (and you can turn the music off up top of the little screen.)
I teach 4 year olds, read books,
& spend the rest of my time playing with my "kids" which happen to be sugar gliders, a hedgehog, turtles, etc.
I'm a Crazy Cat Lady, sans cats.
I am a Spoonie, a Mormon, a Whovian, and Steampunk warms the cogs of my clockwork heart!
I write, I read, I rescue, I rrrrrrrrreally like toys?
My life is bigger on the inside.

Pioneering New Steps as a Big Girl for Josie... and Oscar the Grouch's on Dope?

Pioneer Day (here in Utah and elsewhere for the LDS Church) and this year was a definite day for some Pioneering of our own. A day of firsts, both bad and good.
Oh sure, RINNY BEGAN celebrating in HER way (Pioneer Day (and Saint Patrick's Day) is one of the most important and exciting holidays in the Pink and Fluffy RinnyWorld... she wraps her hair in rag curls the day before, dresses in pioneer dresses all day, bakes bread all day, and drives us nuts playing the Trail of Dreams soundtrack (she played the first Bodil Mortensen... well, first except the real one, in pioneer times. HA!) on repeat at top volume. But ended up being uncharacteristically brave and leaving on a weekend camping/hiking/river rafting trip in Idaho surrounding the Twin Falls Temple open house! I am proud of her.
My little "foster kid" however, is not doing so well. Actually, pretty much feeling like if we WERE Pioneers, I might be one of those moms burying their babies by the side of the trail and I was crying and crying. When Josie was sick before, she had a stomach thing. Her little premie stomach just couldn't handle the food she thought she was ready for and it made her very sick. But this was... well, IS... worse. She has a very scary infection under where her horns were. She screams in pain when you accidentally touch her head. I took her to work and the top farm workers told me to put Preparation-H on it to draw out infection and just keep an eye on it. But after that... she started losing balance. And then, Wednesday or so she was SLEEPING ALL DAY. Lethargy is NOT a Josie thing. She is the most hyper critter EVER!
I had NO confidence in Preparation-H solving something like THIS. I was pretty sure being all sleepy like that meant it was systemic and spreading. AND I knew she needed to see a vet and get an antibiotic before I REALLY lost my baby along the "trail." So, since I was not actually able to drive right now, Mom came with and we took off for the farm to get little Josie and her yucky pussy head taken care of.
But before we got very far we saw thick billowing smoke coming from a under the lid of a household dumpster! It was in front of a neighbor's house and we stopped in front looking at it. It was sort of a yellowish color. I pulled over and went to the house to knock on the door and tell the homeowners, but they weren't there. I went to the can and my mom yelled "be careful, what if it explodes?!" but I felt the side of the can and it was hot but not super hat, so I stood BEHIND it so if I lifted the lid nothing would, like, make my head burst into flames. But there was a LOT of smoke coming from a black trash bag and it was very thick and yellow and smelled POISONOUS, so I dropped the lid and headed back to the Jeep to breathe. (I suspect it was something scary and flammable left in too hot of sun that started.) My mom said "what should we do? Should we just check on it when we get back from the farm?" and (this is where I feel quite proud of me) I said, "No, we call the FIRE DEPARTMENT!"
"Like the fire department?"
"Yeah, Mom!"
"Oh, I don't know if we can do that!"
So I picked up my phone and called. I told them the address. They asked the color of the smoke. They asked the distance of the can from the house. And they said that a fire engine was on it's way but that an officer was right by and would come immediately. He arrived and told us "we don't know what is burning in there, so let's have you guys parked further back at a safe distance." Then he talked to us and told us to actually leave the street, so we asked if we could just GO because as curious as we were to see the END of the story, as fire engines were roaring up, the people at the farm who could help Josie were going to LEAVE at 3 and I was really worried about my kid. He said we could and I left unfulfilled. But still... pretty crazy, eh?!
Well, Josie's little check up with WeatheredLeatheredFarmLady was good because she agreed that Josie was very ill and needed further treatment and BAD because she needed to get permission to have a vet see her from our favorite person Sgary.
HATEHIMHATEHIMHATEHIM.
He won't pay for vets or medicine for any but the "profitable" animals and we have "plenty" of goat kids and "if she dies, she dies."
Yes, THOSE WORDS.
However, WLFL said she did have some penicillin left over from another animal and could call up a vet friend for an un-official diagnosis and dosage. We did so and started injections. They hurt her pretty bad and she screamed QUITE loud. Poor little baby.
But after that things got better and she impressed me with 3 HUGE milestones!
When we got home Josie, though still very sick and sleepy, 1. ate (actually ate, swallowed, not just chewed on!) a substantial amount of hay! 2. stole an apricot and ATE IT!!! 3. DRANK WATER FROM A BOWL FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME!!!!
When she drank that water, I started to cry. Because I knew that even if it was going to be very very hard (and it likely was) that the MANY prayers I had said this week had gotten through and that Heavenly Father was telling me that Josie really COULD get through this and be weaned and generally things WOULD be okay.
It's just all really hard. I love this Goat.
Happy [and SAD!] Pioneer Day!

Sleepy Sabbath and a Nice Day for a [Red?] Wedding
Today was icky. Yesterday was good.
I woke up feeling bad. Hurting. EVERYWHERE, but my foot was screaming (walked a lot yesterday... under a bunch of medication.) and my head was, too. I kept debating whether to go to church, but decided I need to at least TRY. I want to be worthy of the blessings I so desperately need. So I got ready and went. I made it through about 45 minutes before I had to go home and lay down.
I went home and thought I would take an hour nap and then eat something and take meds. This was at about 2. I woke up at 10:30. GREAT.
8 and a half hour nap. I am sure I will sleep SO well tonight.
BUT YESTERDAY was fun. It was Prism's wedding! She and Sluggo got married in the Salt Lake temple and it was GREAT and very THEM! I loved that.
CC met me at the Trax by Meg's house because she is AWESOME and saved me from driving the whole way on meds. There was a wedding breakfast at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. We got there early so we went to the top and looked at the temple from the window. I still hate those elevators, though.

But anyway, the breakfast was pretty fun even though I was hurting.
Yay for times with the girls!

The ceremony itself was, of course, beautiful. (It was in the Temple after all) But I LOVED how Prism and Sluggo seriously did NOT stop holding hands for even a SECOND the whole ceremony. VERY cute.

How cute are they?

MaGurls!

Congratulations to Prism, our Defective Knuck!

To Cheer You
I've been busy so I haven't blogged for most of this week. So, some updates...
1. The next day at work, I got THESE...
Dang it all, when Fresno complains he complains with flair! However, am I the only one who thinks "to cheer you" is a rather awkwardly formal phrase? It reminds me of a bad translation or something.
2. I have such awesome friends. I got to go to the temple with Mali for the first time. Jessi did too and we sat together! (The other person in the photo's is Mali's other good friend, who I did not know.) Yay for friends! Yay for the Temple!!!!
I was very proud of Mali; she did great, even under... ummm... EXTERNAL stress.
3. Work has been more than a little INSANE. See, I an technically part-time. But I have often worked 8:30am-7pm. with out a lunch... well, I mean I EAT... Diabetes sort of dictates that... but usually I don't stop working I just drink a SlimFast or eat a FiberOne Chocolate and Oats bar (THEY ARE SO YUMMY) from my pocket while working. But the thing is the work isn't regular, so I have to grab hours when they come. I might work 5 10 hour days and then have a week of 2 hour days. But so far, that just hasn't happened as it is our busy time. So I work a LOT. It is very physical work, too... but actually I really prefer that. You can see results, you know? When you are on the phone doing customer service, you may never really feel satisfied. But when you have to jump in a pen to catch a goat, you KNOW whether you have succeeded or not. When a child is crying and you cheer them up ("to cheer you" Ha!) you know you've done well. Even working in the office I pour over the core curriculum trying to develop an education program for the dinosaur museum, well it is a major challenge of intellect, focus and creativity. It is EXTREMELY hard work sometimes. Every muscle hurts, every nerve is frazzled... but you feel good about what you did.
So far, even though sometimes I feel like crying (and, like when a big fence slammed on my hand, I DO cry), I have to say I LOVE THIS JOB. How many times have I been able to say that? I only make 7 dollars an hour for a job that anywhere outside the Not-for-Profit sector should make at least twice that plus benefits. But I can honestly say that I love TGP. I love the children, the animals, the gardens, the art projects, the dinosaurs, the ever changing duties that help me never, ever bored.
And as for the hardness of the work, well, we always joke about how great it is to work somewhere with such a large fitness facility. We have cardio (keeping up with 7th graders in TLC from building to building), weights (picking up lambs to children can pet them, lifting up the CHILDREN to they can pet the bunnies, harnessing hateful ponies) and flexibility (climbing over the goat's fence, reaching for craft supplies on the top shelf of the storage room). Hee hee hee!
However, some days are just... AAARGH...

4. I am not ACTUALLY superstitious... usually. But holy CRAP what a Friday the 13th!!!!! First of all, I was supposed to be shadowing. Not in charge of a group, just helping. But Neither Rerun (a 20 year old who seems like a 12 year old. He is VERY flaky and has, on more than one occasion completely stopped working when Rinny has left the office. He'll make long distance calls on the company phone, play Sudoku online, etc. But of course, Rinny doesn't have the guts to FIRE him.) nor Milestoner (she was hired with me, and at the point she seemed awesome. NOW, not so much) SHOWED UP for their shifts.
Actually, that's not quite true. I was covering for Rerun on a particularly CRAZY field trip. Rinny, who was not supposed to be running a trip either, but rather in managerial meetings with the PRESIDENT (of TGP... not George W. Bush... or Gordon B. Hinckley) was covering for Milestoner. The others (who were actually DOING their jobs) were CrazyConnie, Boston, and GrandmaBetsy. Anyway, we were all running around like crazy trying to keep things under control and I could have SWORN I saw Rerun. I squinted and waved to him to come over and take his class but he ducked out so I assumed it WASN'T him. I fumbled through the field trip... it was a grade I didn't know the lesson for as I hadn't shadowed it before, but I survived (barely.). Finally, Rerun showed up to do his damn JOB and we were able to get things going a LITTLE better and Rinny was able to meet with the BigWigs.
Our Farm Manager, Mac, is AWESOME. He's a cowboy and knows his stuff, and is also a thoroughly likable person. He is also quitting to run his landscape business. We will miss him terribly. And part of the reason for BigWigs being down to the farm was to talk about his replacement. Several of the Farmhands wanted RINNY to take over. Run Education AND the Farm. She would not do well, but she's do better than who they GOT.
There is really only ONE person at TGP that Rinny can NOT get along with at ALL and that is SGary. He runs the museum, is a cocky jerk, and is 100% businessman. The only thing important to him is his museum and MONEY. The Museum is the ONLY part of TGP that makes enough to break even. Everything else only stays afloat because of our benefactors, the Ashtons. So, yes, SGary has room to brag. BUT he is a JERK about it, hates the education department, kids, messiness. And GUESS who they put in charge of the FARM now, too?!
[NOTE: NONE of this has been officially ANNOUNCED yet, so I shouldn't be saying anything. But I figure none of you care/know these people and so I won't get in trouble. So I vent.]
I can see 2 possible outcomes to this decision. 1. SGary never comes down to our smelly, kid-filled, non-money-making farm and maybe eventually closes it. 2. He raises the admission price to something like the museum's and we become a little ghost town as NOBODY will pay 8 bucks to ride ponies and pet cows. Oh, and Rinny has a freaking Breakdown. When the CEO told her who's be running the farm, she handled it pretty well... she waited till he left before bawling. She HATES SGary. Mind you, we are not UNDER him... he's not HER boss. Education is it's own entity, and RINNY is OUR boss. But she will be working WITH him. And we need his help. We already have a devil of a time getting his cooperation with the museum activities. Now he will lord over the FARM too.

He will be HILARIOUS if he ever COMES to the farm though. In his suoit and being all stuck up, I can just picture him buying our new COWS like Mac did. *rolls eyes* GEEZ.
What a day. OH and eventually Rerun admitted to Rinny he HAD been here. "So, wanna hear a funny story?"
"Does it involve where you were during your shift?"
"Yeah, ummm, it's funny! I read the 2nd page of the schedule but not the first so I thought there was nothing until 12."
"Huh."
"And I came in early to do some stuff in the office [In other words he clocked in to "work" on the computer but 10 bucks says he just read email and played Sudoku] but then I saw a big group of kids on the wagon ride and thought 'I wonder if that's a field trip?' and then... ummm... I saw [Kipluck] leading a field trip[I knew it!]... so I sort of hid in the office for awhile."
"When you saw [Kipluck], why didn't you go relieve her?"
"Ummm... well... she looked busy."
UMMM... DUH?! Grrrrr! Idiot.
Those field trips were crazy, too. I LOVE how IMPRESSIONABLE kids are! We were on the wagon ride and one little 1st grader started BAWLING. I went to sit with him and asked what was wrong.
He wailed, "I jus' miss my Mom and Dad!"
"Oh, but guess what? I bet they will LOVE to here about your day! You can tell them about petting to horses and seeing the chickens with their eggs and petting those bunnies."
*sniffle* "Yeah..."
"They will be SO jealous because this is so much fun!"
"Yeah. [still bawling] This is so much fun." HA!
Then he smiled, wiped his eyes, and was fine the whole time! At the end of the ride, I said "I am so proud of you." Then another little boy told him "You were crying at the first." and the first little boy's lip started quivering, so I quickly said "Yes, but now he is so brave!"
The second little boy said "yeah, he's SO BRAVE!" with a sigh of freaking ADMIRATION! And the 1st smiled again! MY POWER OF SUGGESTION IS MAGICAL!!! Kids are AWESOME.
I also went to the doctor after work. I got some new meds and an appointment with a psychiatrist. SIGH.

You can go there anytime you want, but you can never leave...
Happy Easter! Today was a good one. First of all, even though I was exhausted, I DID wake up in time for my interview with Stake President and got my Temple recommend renewed (So, Mali, I'll be there!) and then regular church. Which was also good! Very good hymns, too. Anyway, after church I went to the Padres for an Easter/Family Pre-Birthday Party!
We had dinner (everything sugar/fat free so I could eat everything, even the cake!), talked a lot about BoyKid and took pictures of random family goings-on for him, and then I got presents!
The Padres gave me:
*a new little boom box
*a $10 gift certificate to Seagull Book
*a bag of caramel Quaker Quakes Rice Snack
*$10 gift card from Petco
And...
*a TRIP TO CALIFORNIA!
Like they will pay for plane tickets! And a couple nights in a cheap motel! I am going to save my own money for a rental car and stuff, but I can go visit Fresno instead of him always coming out here! YAY!
I am not sure when yet, or the details, but they gave me a card that said so (and a model plane, but Padre even took that back. hee hee hee!)! Woohoo! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!
My Sister, Rinny gave me:
*an original copy of my favorite shot of the Prophet! She knows the photographer through his wife who is at Thanksgiving point! PRES. HINCKLEY IS SO CUTE IN A FEDORA!
*She made me a plate with the Teen Girl Squad on it and the words "Wiggity Wack?" "No, just the regular type." AWESOME!!!
Hee hee hee! My family is pretty dang cool sometimes!
Then we had cake (sugar-free angel food cake) and watched The Testaments of One Fold and One Shepherd on DVD for Easter.
Then I went home and goofed around online (and CC gave me a bouquet on Gaia and by the way she is UBER TALENTED.) Anyway, I need to go to bed. I work early tomorrow. NOT thrilled with that, but yeah. But hey, it is my Birthday and I think Fresno is sending me flowers! And you know what? I have never really got flowers from a boy before! Except Padre, because, you know, he does that. But never from a guy who wasn't giving them to everyone or sending carnations to friends through the school (SpeedyGus gave me a carnation once, but our friend Stephanie, too. And Fredlee gave flowers to ALL the girls in the class. But never just from one boy just for me. So even though I am not a flower type person (I'd rather have tadpoles. Or chocolate. Or crayons.) I am a little excited to see if that is really what is happening. Makes me feel SO girly!

"You've Been Drinking Honey Wine!" (That's a totally cool and biblical way to say You're Full of Crap!)
Anyway, other than random cute glider pictures from the internet, I am having a springy Eastery day! I know, Easter is tomorrow. But today is pretty outside, I have no work, and The The Ten Commandments
Last night Rinny tried to have a "Happy Birthday, Baby Jesus!" Party. She brought Lamb of God and Easter Dream
I have also been having an interesting missionary-ish experience on Gaia in the Religious Tolerance Guild. A thread was started about the basics of Mormonism... and I am possibly the only Mormon IN the club. So clearing up some myths has been fun AND hard. But it is pretty cool how sharing your testimony grows and strengthens it, you know? Very cool.
Hmmm... our house is HOT. I think maybe the Roomie turned on the heat because she shaved the puppies and they were probably cold afterwards. I don't know. Personally, it weirds me out when they are shaved. I know they like it when it gets warmer but they look 1/3 of their original size and kind of creepy looking. I like them all fluffy.

Okay, how is it that I forgot that the Ten Commandments is, like, a billion hours long?! Holy Hannah! It's FOREVER!
I'm switching to MASH. I know how it ends anyway... I've read the book. ;O) hee hee!
Anyway, I really am going to bed now. Oh, but about the boy. Fresno's jerk of a Landie FINALLY told someone they could rent his place! Hooray! However, he is HATING his job a LOT and so is talking about quitting and finding something, even something temporary, to make the house payments and stuff, but that is different than his other job. I know he hates it... and it is his choice. I just hope it works out right. I don't know. But like I said, it's his life. He needs to do what he feels is right. I just want to be sure he doesn't do something dumb for ME. You know? Anyway, yeah. I need to go to bed now. I need to go to church BEFORE church in the morning. Because that is when our Stake President does recommends interviews and I keep not getting there in time. I have a Temple recommends that us signed by my BISHOP, but not him. No good. And I have plans for Tuesday, dang it all! Hee hee!

I Don't Want a Wii... I can't even Handle a We!
Fresno is the sweetest *gulp*BOYFRIEND*gulp* in the whole world, but I still get awful weirded out by his commitment.
Commitment is so scary! And then there are the We statements. He says them so NATURALLY. Like he doesn't even THINK about them! When I say We it is only after tumbling it around in my head for forever and even then I usually end up whispering it pathetically. But he is throwing around Wes like they're going out of style!
Like, while looking at house. "...We could get that one..." and my brain is screaming NO! No, that is YOUR house! THIS is MY house! That one creeped me out.
However, I AM getting more okay with it. Like, rather than my brain screaming it is just GIGGLING and thinking WE? What the?! when I was talking about BoyKid's mission and me writing him and Fresno busts out smoothly with this "...yeah, and we will write him once a week, and sometimes we can make him packages!"
However, even though I am still neurotic as hell about this whole Boy thing, I really like him. I *think* I love him. And I think that EVENTUALLY, maybe, I might just end up married to Fresno. But before I let that happen there are many MANY things about myself I need to fix. And it will be awhile, despite what he seems to think. But, yeah, it is still probably going to happen if I can keep myself together anyway.
Oh, and randomly, he is so GOOD. He had a good friend die some time ago, and he did his work in the temple. Well, now he is doing his friend's parents' work and he asked if, so that it was more special to him, I would do the Mom's work, because then he could baptize "her" and we could plan a big temple day when he comes for General Conference. He asked really nice and all spiritual-ish, but half of me is still sort of dreading it because, well, for one thing being baptized is not exactly the most FLATTERING of things to be.
ALSO, I sort of am anti-temple DATE. My reasoning is that in the Temple you might be wondering "Hmmm... should I marry this person someday?" and you might feel all kinds of happy templey goodness and think "YES! I should!" when maybe all you are really being told is "Good job! Yay! Happy templey goodness for serving the Lord and your fellowman!!!"
And yet, I still said "Ummm, yeah, okay?" because he just ASKED so... HIM. SIGH. And that means being wet in a white jumpsuit... and probably getting all weirded out and nervous that the proxy *sealing* will seem too much like a dress rehearsal or something. Yeah. ANYWAY, like I told him (because of the way he was asking) I am honored to stand in for someone else important to him. Just... yeah... I am me.
And now it's time for Silly Songs with Larry, the part of the blog where Larry comes out and sings a silly song... or, umm, you know.... Friday's Faves. Without Larry.
Friday's Fave 5s
In the true spirit of girliness, Five Faves about Fresno
1. His super bluey-blue eyes. They are GORGEOUS.
2. He is HONEST in his compliments. He doesn't pretend I am a skinny model, but he tells me I am beautiful and says why he thinks so. He supports me trying to be healthier, but doesn't really care if I stay the same size in the process. Because he is realistic in his compliments, it makes him one of the few people I actually TRUST compliments from.
3. When he gets really excited like a little kid! Like when the Roomie made the dogs do tricks for us, he was, like cheering and clapping! It was HILARIOUS! Especially when we are being really silly and talking like dolphins or making up things for the Wonder Twins to turn into and he starts GIGGLING. It is the funniest thing to me. He sounds about 5 years old when he does that. I love it.
4. His dedication to the Gospel! He really is an AMAZING holder of the holy Priesthood, and a really good EXAMPLE to me. How cool is THAT?!
5. The way he TRIES (sometimes too hard) to relate to everyone about something. No matter how different they are from him he will find SOMETHING in common to discuss with them. He is the king of "BRT" and I love it because of WHY he does it. He doesn't do it to BE salesy, he just wants everyone to feel interesting and just tries to be nice and relate to people SOMEHOW, even if he doesn't like them.
