I am just not up to re-writing. Sorry. BUT, I so love little kids. And my baby bro. THE END. *sigh*
I teach 4 year olds, read books,
& spend the rest of my time playing with my "kids" which happen to be sugar gliders, a hedgehog, turtles, etc.
I'm a Crazy Cat Lady, sans cats.
I am a Spoonie, a Mormon, a Whovian, and Steampunk warms the cogs of my clockwork heart!
I write, I read, I rescue, I rrrrrrrrreally like toys?
My life is bigger on the inside.
I'm not really surprised about that particular friend.... and as mean as it sounds, I think people who leave the church over something like that were just looking for an excuse out anyway because they don't have the balls to just up and quit on their own.... love, steph k
ReplyDeleteI kind of remember that friend from LinkUp, I believe, and remember her has being even more liberal than me...which at the time was comforting (if someone like her could stay LDS, I certainly could too), but now, under the circumstances, just makes me feel really blessed that the Lord didn't allow me to "give up the birthright over a mess of pottage", so to speak. Thank heavens for people coming into your life to rescue you from your mistaken perceptions.
ReplyDeleteShe did say this was the straw that broke the camel's back, and that there are a number of issues she's had with the church's position. I doubt this is an "excuse" for her.
ReplyDeleteMake that "the church's positionS."
