ADR

It's not his fault, but Heber died at a particularly terrible time.  I don't JUST mean during my hardest final, so that all my concentration was on him and pretty much NONE was on the d**n test.  I mean it is the end of school so I have hours of free time.  I should focus on work or start quilling again because, my therapist today was right, I get a LOT sadder when I am not busy.  And I miss Heber so much I physically ache sometimes.  I don't want to go tomorrow to the All Things Animal Fair.  But I feel like I have to, not because I owe it to HerMajesty, my teacher who I got to lovingly chat with today, but because I owe it to sugar gliders.  If somebody comes to the fair that needs info on gliders, needs to know their diet, etc, I owe it to those gliders.  But it's going to be really hard.

Today's been pretty much a waste.  I had a meeting with my Dean... and HerMajesty.  I had therapy.  But then I watched hours and hours of Burn Notice, looked at hundreds of LOLCats, posted a little on Gaia, ate cardboard pizza and cold cereal, basically did little to nothing.
U luv me furever?  Right?

Strict Bookrest Says the doctor! Hee hee!

*SIGH* So a good book can REALLY help you survive the boredom of bedrest.  But I JUST finished Mockingjay and I am still sort of soaking it in and it feels weird starting something silly like Bree Tanner's Half Life or whatever it's called.  MAYBE Love is a Many Trousered Thing. I have those and a few others awaiting me in a little pile in my room.

But I am not supposed to walk around yet, so instead I am watching some inane Disney Channel movie Princess Protection Program. Holy lame. And I am BOOOOOORED.  I also have no results yet on when and if I am leaking out   So until I have answers or this powerful headache STOPS... I am stuck being bored in a bed with the freaking Disney Channel.

I need something to eat AND a book before I go nuts.

TOO LATE! I HAVE gone nuts! I seriously just spent 15 minutes laughing at those emergency shoes "Fast Flats!"  WHO keeps spare shoes in their purse?! HA HA HA HA!

Oh and speaking of being prepared, I just finished another article on Emergency preparedness for exotic pets.  I really am enjoying writing in more of a journalism sense rather than just blogging.  It's fun, and EVENTUALLY I will get a little money from it (as long as they are BEING READ, HINT HINT.  Subscribe to me!!!)

ZzzzzZZzZZzzzzzzZZZZzzZZZ

Finishing up my bedrest. Holy boring.  Not that I haven't had things to do.  I've written 3 articles for the Examiner and 2 for Suite 101 while in bed.  I've read a little of Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters. I have watched a LOT of Burn Notice.  Now I am watching Sleepy Hollow on TV. What the GORY?!  I might NOT watch this. Yeah.

of head and heart.

SO. TIRED. OF. HEADACHE.

It's been like a freaking month.  My temples are pounding and I am watching Covert Affairs and Psych with my mom while crazy Fable runs around like a grasshopper on speed.  He is SUCH a little boy in a chinchilla suit. But dumb.  CUTE, but just NOT smart.  He can not understand his exercise wheel and it took him an hour to get the ball.  Though it is really darling to see him walk in it.  He looks like a giant mouse.

Anyway, distractions are good, but they aren't really working completely. Nor is the muscle relaxant and Loritab.  Sleep doesn't help... nor does it come often or for long.  My temples... the back of my head... both feel like I may explode from the head up.  So I write.  Examiner's site is being sketchy but I am still writing there and Suite101. I also just WRITE.  Write here. Write in my paper journal. Currently it's the one with a Yellow Submarine cover, the trippy cartoon Beatles chillin' in the front.  I got it at the Mirage.

I want to go to Vegas again. It's been awhile and I need to visit the newest tigers, Mohan and Majestic.

NO.

I want to go. to. Spain.

THAT is my singular traveling goal.  Get a passport. Go to Spain. Spend some real time with Ola. I am almost 100% sure I am in true love with MyNigerian.  But we need to meet in real life to BE 100%.  And I need to know that.  WE need to know that.  Because if it's as true as it feels now, then, well, we want it forever. <3  Yeah, sappy but true.

The one in where Kipluck has a social life.

Last night I saw some of my favorite people in the world.  Mali, StephAnn, Megan. Even Jakey, Really.  If we could throw Ola in there, too, (and get rid of the headaches for good measure) it would be like the coolest party ever.  I haven't seen anyone in forever.  Hadn't even been to Mali and Steph's cute, Ikea-laden condo yet till then.

Megan and Jake drove me because 1. they rock 2. my head makes it hard to drive safely 3. my head MEDS make it hard to drive safely.  Megs also gave me a BEAUTIFULLY crocheted (knitted?) blanket... for a doll... that is so soft I slept with it last night.  Yup, me and a blankie.

Anyway, we all talked, ate grilled pineapple and kabobs, watched Big Bang Theory. It was good.  Though the reason for the party was bitter sweet... saying goodbye to Mali as she prepares to go study animation in England.

What a crazy life. People get even farther away and busier. SIGH.

Plus SHE says she'll come back.  I kinda think she will just marry Thom and live there forever.  Which if that is what will make her the happiest, then she should do.  It's just, you know, my best friends become more and more unreachable.  I know I do, too.  I rarely get to leave the house.  How freaking social is that? Bleh.  Oh well.  GOOD LUCK, MOLLY!

delightfully crushy after a family reunion... don't worry, those things aren't connected

I spent this weekend on a "family women's retreat" which was really basically a big sleepover for a lot of cousins, aunts, etc. at my  It was fun, really!  Granted, having a headache and feeling sick (my status quo) during it was NOT fun, but it was pretty nice to see (and in the case of some of the little ones meet for the first time) relatives.  I was really glad that Squall came! I like her a lot.  I am excited, too, for next weekend when her funny, animal-loving daughter, JanBrady, will be baptized. I LOVE that kid!  Squall and I played a mean game of air hockey there, I tell ya... but that is not how I hurt my wrist, it was hurt before. (Still, she clobbered me. And she still sucked, so I, like, UBER-Sucked). We all played Bunco because I swear that IS our family game, well, the women. The men, I guess would have to be golf.  But we also did white elephany gifts and I got 3 inch heels (HA HA!) and Rinny got this pillow one of the cousins made IN the 70s that will definitely come back again as a white elephant at the next party. It is freaking awesome, though. Like SO ugly it's cool and packed with PACKING PEANUTS. Got to meet the new and CUTEST little cousin's baby they just adopted, Lexi.  She was darling.

I also found out that not ONE but TWO of my FAVORITE cousins were in line trying out for The Biggest Loser this morning.  If EITHER Vance or Jake gets on, well, I will actually WATCH the show for one thing. But for another I will just have them in my prayers not to DIE.  I mean, geez, I feel like we almost lost Jakey when he was in the hospital with an infection, they better not let him get hurt!!! :(

In other news, I have gone full-on swoony for MyNigerian.  Yes, I like a guy from Nigeria. In Spain. We have been chatting awhile, and no, I am not an idiot and no, he is not one of those... at ALL. Actually, he is pretty much my hero in the way he holds the priesthood and feels about the church in general. And he is sweet. And funny. And cute. And kind.  And we were talking for awhile today so I am sort of on a high right now, but still, yeah. *LE SIGH* MyNigerian.

Normal Depression.

I don't know why I watch shows like this. House. Grey's Anatomy. Even Scrubs. I watch them and there are people that die, but mostly problems get solved. People go the hospital and doctors take hard problems and they solve them. People get better. They don't keep hurting. The answer isn't yeah, this is normal. Normal for Gastroparesis. Normal for Fibromyalgia. Normal for YOU. The answer isn't suck it up and just know you will keep hurting.

Hurting and hurting. Not dying. Not being cured by the star of the show.

So I try to distract myself with things like, well, that last entry. Cabbage Patch clothes, Critters 2 Go, etc. But sometimes I just... those things get hard to handle while hurting and feeling hopeless. And I get frudtrated and even all the things I want to do, wish I could do, and NEED to do... they fall by the wayside.

So pardon this rant, but I just got back from the hospital again. And I am watching Grey's Anatomy. And I am crying, not for the story on the TV, but selfishly just. for. ME.

my brain... in the family way

no, not THAT. Heh heh. That'd be pretty tricky minus the sex. Makes me think of Glee, though, and how she was faking with that baby bump. (WHAT WILL HAPPEN NOW?! HE KNOWS!!!)

I am just thinking about family right now. Part of this is because I am attempting to cobble together a more complete family tree for a project via Facebook's FamilyLink.com and LDS.org's FamilySearch.org combined.

Part is because Megs texted me her hubby was very sick and I am worried about him. Megs is my bestfriend and cousin and Jake is easily among my favorite cousins-in-law. He is a great guy. I am praying for things to go well, but I hate any time anyone is in the hospital.

I know that feeling.

*I* am in the hospital enough. Tonight I am on heavy meds as I am hurting badly. I don't want ANYONE I love to feel like this. Not ever.

I want to know my cousins more... and my cousins' kids and all of the various relations. I want to KNOW my family better than I do. I feel THAT more keenly than any pull to know my ancestors. I mean, they are alive. They have lives and needs NOW. I want to have them as friends. Facebook helps. But I need to learn more. And actually freaking remember who is who.

Pretty Sure a Cat is mandatory when you are 30 and single

Yet again I am behind in my writing, so here is a little recap of my recent life changes...

I turned 30. And Befriended a cat. Figures, eh?

My awesome friends threw me a surprise party! I got 30 of all kinds of little things. 30 little plushies, 30+ bubble gum coins, 30+ ring pops, etc. We played on the Wii on the Big Screen, and I got an action figure of Hiro from Heroes who I crush (I'm a nerd, yeah) and SoftLips and yummy cake. Also really yummy food that I could really only suck on due to the pain in my teeth at the time but it was the thought that counted and they were AWESOME.

I got a few MORE root canals and realized I can no longer go to regular dentist for this stuff, even good ones. My problems are too complicated. I hate my teeth.

My fam got me a pass to the Aquarium which rocks since it's very near my Endodontist. So I have been able to use it OFTEN. Those stingrays are gonna start RECOGNIZING me, I tell ya!
I love it. Plus, this now makes it both Living Planet AND the Zoo that I have a pass too. Since I WORK at Thanksgiving Point (though I haven't been able to go in for forever), about the only animals I CAN'T see anytime I want are those at Secret Garden in Vegas. I need a membership THERE now! HA!

Now I am dealing with a craptastic stomach thing. As usual we don't know what it is, except that I had some really bad test results in the ER last awhile ago, which led to a colonoscopy and endoscopy yesterday and a liver biopsy planned for Friday. But right now I am just on lots of meds, and hurting a lot.

I am still living at the parents' and neglecting my OWN apartment (and my turtle and tortoise. :O( Bummer.) where the Roomie is. My best friend at this house is totally that cat, even though I am really a dog person.

And I am totally digging all things Steampunk. A beautiful combination of history and science fiction... and making technichal things look old and weird and lovely.... AND talking all British and saying things like "What what" and "By Jove!".... WHY am I late to this party?!

Friday's Fave Five... Can one week HOLD this much hilarity?!

The following things totally made me smile this week.

1. I was watching this show and yes, I am embarrassed to admit it because it is really stupid. It is called something like Get Paris a BFF and consists of various contests to eliminate people from being Paris Hilton's Best Friend. WHY these people would want to be her friend I do not know because, seriously, every time she TALKS it reconfirms to me that that chick has NO SOUL!!! I can only assume they are just after her money and she gives them things through out the contest... and I don't even feel BAD for her that these people want her for her fame and fortune because again, I do not think she has a soul. I think she is empty inside. I think if you got to know her, really know the real her deep down... THERE WOULD BE NOTHING. It is creepy. ANYWAY, that is not what made me smile. In the midst of this, one of the things I guess they decided to send them home for was being too fake (okay that DID make me smile. Because Paris is so real and down to earth... but anyway...) and so they were having PEREZ Hilton, this very queeny gay reporter guy grill them about things in an interview.

So he starts going after this chick saying that everyone thinks she is stupid, is she really stupid and her answer, totally unscripted was, " Well, umm, I don't know, I mean, I know I'm not like a rocket surgeon, but..."

And yes, Perez (and it sounded like some camera guy) cracked up. I am sure clip show people were running around screaming "COMEDY GOLD!" because *I* about died. A ROCKET SURGEON?! THAT IS AWESOME!!!! A brilliantly retarded blend of "it's not rocket science" and "he's no brain surgeon" that just made me smile for hours.

2. Rinny has 2 boyfriends, and she can't decide between them. They are SkaterHot and The 12 Year Old. She thinks she truly likes them both equally. She MIGHT like SkaterHot more were it not for the fact that he does NOT dance and 12 Year Old DOES. And they dance weekly. So she goes out with SkaterHot, like 3 times a week, but dances with 12 Year Old every week as well. Does NOT make for smooth sailing in Boyville. BUT it did spark a need to look up Safety Dance on YouTube so we could hear it. And then realize we had never seen the video. And then proceed to laugh and laugh for several hours and watch it 8 times and dance to the video and have my mother wonder what her daughters had taken. OH MY HEART.
Have you SEEN the video?!

3. THEN we needed to watch our favorite bad video 10 times, copy it and laugh till I almost threw up and remember how much BoyKid loves it! Another true TRUE gem.

4. Chatting with the boy I have a slight crush on despite a few issues, BrazilianVampire. He's not uber active, but he is trying to do better. He's a little too desperate/fast for me (like really wants to fly me down for New Years). BUT he is also funny, smart, super cute, hard working, and generally just a very good guy. His dad was a mission president in Brazil (Campinas mission 92-95), and he has family both there in Brazil and in Utah. (and yes, he is legit. I mean I don't KNOW him, like really, but I do know he is a real LDS guy with a Mission president dad and a less active mom who is a SAHM and all that... who is not a scammer) Anyway, Chatting with him has been really fun. I have missed... well... being liked back. I don't know that anything will come of it. Probably not. I mean that's a long LONG distance relationship. But STILL... maybe?

Maybe. I do VERY like him.

5. I have happy friends. It is almost CC's birthday and therefore you should totally buy a subscription to the magazine Wasatch Women! Because... ummm... it's probably not boring if you are into that sort of thing! And CC designs it! W00t!

Cutting things short

A Few Short Notes:

*My ulcer makes my stomach hurt so bad today I could cry.

*Got my hair cut short today. I may also do highlights. But for now, a bit shorter.

*I loved playing with my silly little goat on Tuesday. I miss her. She is so dang cute.

*I WASN'T disappointing with the Season premier of Heroes. BUT I understand those who were. I mean, How can you not feel a little let down after a build up like that? A freaking COUNT DOWN SHOW?! Geez! But still... yay! Heroes!

*I am going to be driving Tractor rides a ton during Barnyard Boo this month. SIGH.

*I will be seeing a rheumatologist in Salt Lake soon. Maybe, finally they will figure things out. Sed rate things... and help my Fibro more... maybe.

*BoyKid is completely hilarious. I mean, you know, his letters. I miss him.

*I need to go to bed. Night.

Deerly Departed

Today has been... highly emotional. I saw my neurologist and that was okay. She gave me more samples of Lyrica since going DOWN on the dosage made the side pain get worse so my new Internist, "Dr. Kovac" from ER, had me go up on it again and my insurance has yet to approve it. So that appointment wasn't too bad.

But on our way home we talked a lot, Mom and I, about what I thought of myself and what I feel I am becoming. Lots of crying. My eyes will not go back to normal and they remain all puffy and tired. I just want to be happy... I want to fix myself and become who I need to be. I need... purpose. And reason. I need... to matter. Right now, I don't to me.

So that was hard.

OH and remember when we had 2 deer die in our yard and they took forever to come get them? IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN! One of our little fawns has died on our front lawn, which is sad. But it's been there for a few DAYS NOW and they keep saying they will get to picking it up but they are "very busy" and there is a rotting CORPSE in our yard, which is sick!!! GET IT OUT OF OUR YARD!!! Ew ew eeeew!!!

I don't know which of our little regulars we lost, but this has been a BAD winter for the deer. Not enough food. Too much snow. That's why so many think they need to practically live in the Padre's house eating my mom's tulip bulbs and apple trees instead of, well, doing deerish things in the MOUNTAINS. The poor deer.

Right now I am avoiding thinking. Watching my boyfriend, Perry Mason, while my babies are doing pretty good figuring out how to get treats out of their new foraging toy. Lilo's got it, Heber is still trying, Nani is ignoring it. Yogurt drops are a good motivator to learn and they are smart little critters. I love them a lot. Little smarties. Hee hee!

Oh, and p.s. my crutches just broke coming in the room

At the parents again.

No dripping ceilings this time.

I slipped on the ice going out to the car for some Carefresh for the gerbil and may have broken my foot but hopefully just sprained it. Waiting on the X-Ray, but I can put NO weight on it at ALL so I am in the Padre's basement hobbling on crutches and an office chair cum wheelchair.

As my Mom said, "[Kipluck], if you didn't have bad luck, you'd have no luck at all."

Dad and I are fighting already.

I am hurting like hell.

And I am watching a lot of Law and Order, trying not to cry all the time.

reruns

My days are becoming... repetitive. Yesterday I did go to work because we needed to go to a school for a presentation with Journey North and I have been writing our program for that. But I just HURT a lot and spent the rest of the day at Utah Valley Hospital. But other than things I CAN'T get out of, I am not working because I just hurt too much and feel ill all the time. The ulcer is not healing... at least that is probably why I still hurt whenever I eat anything... or don't eat anything for that matter. Tomorrow I meet with a gastroenterologist about that. That crazy appendix/ovary/etc. place in my bottom ride side hurts as does my back like it wants to kill me and they have no idea why so, yes, tomorrow I get another blood test and probably an ultrasound and once again see what the hospital thinks THIS time.

Everyday I just hurt and probably watch Heroes on my mom's online Netflix thing (yay!) and eat nothing good and think too much and get sad.

I miss work on a regular basis.
I miss less pain.
I miss... well, that's unrelated, but yes Thanksgiving is coming and that is when Fresno and I had our first real date and I hate that because he keeps being in my dumb dreams.

My Depression has been pretty bad lately, too, for obvious reasons, so that doesn't help.

Oh, and then today I got in a mini-fight with my Sister/boss because SHE lost a spare key at work and she asked if I knew where it was. I said I was sorry, but no. She was frustrated with the situation and took it out on me. She asked if maybe I took it and maybe I couldn't remember because of pain pills. Geez. Thanks for basically calling me a junky, Rinn.

I am going to feed the sugar babies and go to bed early. I am not actually tired... I am just tired of today being here.

And no, in case you are wondering I do NOT have Bird Flu

It's supposed to stop. Not ALL my pain, obviously, but the horrible stomach pain. It's SUPPOSED to stop. The doctors keep telling me "No, you should be fine now. Go ahead and eat regular food. Just nothing heavy or spicy." NO. No! It HURTS! It ALL hurts! I hate food. I hate EATING.
It HURTS ME.
(However, at LEAST unlike the child with the stomach ache in the pic I found I am not, like, half human half pig(?))

And it is SUPPOSED to have stopped. The endoscopy showed ulcers, but that they were healing. If I just took it easy for awhile things would be okay. I am wondering now, with how my stomach feels, if something else is wrong too... because something is NOT getting better. My stomach is hurting all the time... and that's on top of the head stuff that never goes away. And other mystery pains (like girl stuff... What the HELL is going on down THERE?! My OBGYN sure has no clue, and my idiot endocrinologist doesn't care.). And my diabetes is CRAZY right now with now doing insulin though at least I FINALLY have competent HELP with it. Sigh.

Right now I am just hurting... hurting and watching old episodes of Heroes online because I only SAW, like, 4 of the first season, but liked them. So now I am sort of catching up and trying not to think about hurting since most everything, pill-wise just hurts me MORE. It is bad. What am I going to do? Meds are making me WORSE... pain pills make me have an ulcer. The ulcer meds are messing with my other pills. Etcetera... chemical confusion... and that's all the doctors will do. Confuse my body some more.

Had a dumb dream last night. Dumb because it involved Fresno. Also sad last night, Reepicheep, the one-winged (to be accurate, more like 1 and a half winged) Pipit, died. The Roomie is SO sad. She has worked so hard with him.
Rest in peace, Reepicheep. I am sorry we couldn't save you. If The Roomie couldn't, I don't know that you had a chance... but I am still sorry. You will be missed. You were a good little bird. Igor was confused, but he had a crush on you. And Critter, well, he annoys ALL the birds, but that little parakeet just ADORED you SO MUCH. He is mourning pretty badly now. We are worried about him. He makes me cry. He keeps looking for you and climbing into your cage, Reep. But don't worry, he will adapt. And You, well, you will be happy in Heaven. His eye is on the Pipits, too, you know.

home again home again jiggedy jig!

I am back and not so out of it now so I thought I would blog a little. And watch The Office. And drink something that DOESN'T hurt my bruised throat OR ulcered stomach to eat. I haven't eaten anything because they told me yesterday:
"Do not eat or drink anything by mouth after midnight."
How ELSE would I eat it? By nose? By butt? HONESTLY.

Anyway, as usual they took forever FINDING a vein for my IV. I think they oughta just install a spigot in my arm or something that can be turned on and off at will. Like tapping a keg. Because NOBODY can get me the first try. The nice ones try once, then go get someone else to try. The mean ones have pride issues. They poke, then poke again, then fish around in my arm with the needle, then poke elsewhere and fish, and then get someone else to do the same thing. These ones weren't 2 bad. One poked, but just once... then got another lady who poked just twice, and then fished, but at least got it.

Because I am me I was there an hour longer than I should have been because anesthesia makes me too low on oxygen. I kept apnea-ing BUT yes! Hooray! They did NOT make me stay over night!

"I'm not feelin' too good, man, 'cuz I have genital herpes."

No. Not me.

*I* have a bleeding ulcer and gastritis.

But the guy in TV apparently... yeah, he's got the gift that keeps on giving... and it made me giggle. Because the "I'm not feelin' too good, man" was the last thing said from the show on closed captioning, but it missed the first part of the commercial, so the next thing it read was "because I have genital herpes."

Anyway, back to real life, I am freaking tired of having my medical mystery of a life.

To update...
my head is still a problem, and I have an appointment with my Endocrinologist, Dr. NYB, on Monday.

my foot still has the tumor in it, but the cortizone shots are helping and so for now we are leaving it there.

I will be going to the hospital this week... whenever they call me to say so... to have an endoscopy to look at my stomach from the inside out. They are putting a camera down my throat. I am NOT happy with this idea, but it is the next thing I have to do with the ulcer thing. SIGH.

I am sorry my blogs have been rather BLAH lately. Just not feeling into writing, lately, even though it is my Free Therapy. My life is frustrating me and some days I wish it would end. (No, that's not a suicidal confession... I just WISH sometimes.

Anyway, sorry. I am going to lay down with my headache now.

"Why can't Mormons send flowers?"

Today is the start of General Conference for the Church. And I woke up in time (ooh, long scary story though. Later.) I am not even in bed listening to it on the radio but upstairs, dressed, and watching it on TV and paying attention.

Okay, well, right NOW it is between sessions, so I am cooking crescent rolls (mmmm...) and half-watching and giggling at Benji (the Hunted!) and his sophisticated thought processes (compared to the idiocy of the majority of the few humans in the show) with The Roomie.

Crap.

I burned them.

Anyway, so this morning I was supposed to go to work... EARLY... to do this last big JMG harvest.

When I was dragging myself out of bed I texted my sister-boss a few times asking "are we still doing this thing?" because 1. it was cold 2. I was exhausted 3. I was hurting a lot
...but got no answer so assumed it was. I put on my jacket for the first time this year and drove out to Thanksgiving Point. But when I arrived, NOBODY was there.

And it was snowing... raining... sleeting... hailing... and I kept trying to call Rinny with no answer. I was going to leave, assuming it had been changed or *I* was wrong, but was waiting just a few minutes to see if she'd call back. To kill time I spun donuts (mmm... donuts...) in the parking lot behind the dinosaur museum. The lot was crazy slick with the hail on the sleet like little marbles in slime.

I thought I heard some construction equipment crunching something... but other than that, nobody I knew came by and I decided to leave.

But when I got to the other side of the museum I saw it was not construction.

There was a car laying there, upside-down in front of it. Having slipped off the slime and marble freeway and flipping onto the the little frontage road at work. The lights were still on. There were no police or ambulance. I felt so sick. A man pulled up behind them before I got across the street, then I was behind him. I asked if anyone had been called. He said yes, the guy (IN THE CAR) had run in to the museum to call an AMBULANCE (meaning there was someone else in there? I don't know.). I asked what I could do, what I should do. He said nothing, and that he would handle it. I pulled over to the side to be out of the way, but was having a major panic attack. THAT was when Rinny called back. She thought *I* had been in the accident and kept trying to say she'd come get me. I explained, but not well... I kept almost throwing up. I was very freaked out and not handling things well. But I stayed till the police and ambulance got there... and could calm down some myself... then drove VERY carefully home, grateful for 4-wheel drive.

But once home I watched Conference which was good. Elder Eyring is the new 2nd Counselor and Elder Cook(?) is the new 12.

Seeing Elder Wirthlin, I think it was? that was so shaky and so so so... old... made me want to cry though.

But still, yeah, good start to the Conference. Granted, I would have to re-watch... or read excerpts (which I will)... to tell you what the heck I learned from it (partially because my unfocused brain... partially because the dogs and birds were being hilariously distracting and kept making The Roomie and I laugh), but over all it was good.

Last night was good, too, for a change. Work was NOT so good. The field trip kids were funny, of course, but I was hurting the whole time and I am still feeling rather unhinged and unstable and... well, started crying when Grandma Betty said I miscounted cups for ice cream for one class. Yeah, THAT'S healthy. *rolls eyes* That's what this whole week has like. But LAST night was good.

I got to just chill with the girls, CC and Stewbert. We talked about dumb things, cruised the mall a little, spent a lot of money at Archiver's (I spent a ton. But I have a plan for a little, CUTE, scrapbook of the suggies. hee hee!), and finished up with Sonic.

I admit my foot, though it was wrapped (and heavily medicated) the whole night hated me today, but still glad I got to play.

"Oh great Mormons! " "Actually, we are Quantum Presbyterians"

hee hee hee hee hee! I am so missing my baby brother today. I am mean and just sent him a picture of me buying Harry Potter. But then I was nice and talked about how much cooler it was that he was on a mission. I love BoyKid.

Everytime I see the Simpsons movie trailer I think of BoyKid though, because he LOVES Simpsons. Poor kiddo. He is ROCKING as a missionary. But is having a hard time. Because there are books and movies here (and hot girls there). But he is phenomenal. Seriously.

In his honor (and cuz I liked Bucksome's avatars) I had fun Simpsonizing myself... etc.

"He's Pixelated!"

Today I woke up to find my head in agony and my neck was almost immobile. Since I was just in the office and not on a day camp I ended up calling in [dead] to work... and calling in for an appointment with the physical therapist. And it was a very long and painful visit. Apparently I REALLY needed it but it sure HURT and I left with pages of new exercises to do. SIGH.

Other than the horrid state of my neck and head, I decided to use this day to get some things done. Cleaning cages, doing laundry, some extra house stuff... that kind of thing. I also am watching a couple movies that need to go back to the library.

It's funny because what I am watching is Mr. Deeds Goes to Town. I wanted to rent it because I actually kind of LIKED the remake, Mr. Deeds, with Adam Sandler, despite strong possibilities to the contrary. It was funny and cute. But what is TOTALLY surprising me is how CLOSE it turns out it was to the original! I had no idea. I am liking it very much, by the way. Old movies rock, ESPECIALLY ones with people like Gary Cooper.

Although, they BOTH remind me of the extremely BETTER Hudsucker Proxy.... one of my favorite movies EVER. The Coen. Brothers. are. GENIUSES.

"You know, for kids!"

Just fyi, Mr. Deeds (the original) is where the term Doodling came from. I think that's pretty significant, eh?

Yes, my blog is educational! hee hee hee!

Later now. I just had a Creamcicle-like thing! Luckily it's a semi-okay one. AND I also exercised today. So I don't feel too guilty. Hee hee! Not that I am HEALTHY or anything but today wasn't too bad, goal-wise anyway.

Talked again to Fresno about Transformers and He-Man and stuff. We spend WAY too much time in the 80s.
OH, but clearly I can NOT marry Fresno. SO HILARIOUS. (Thanks, Sherpa... or, you know, originally, TIME.)
